washed out colours

Hi,

 

Not sure if this is a known problem, or it's just me.  I have a 4k:HEVC video, MI:Fallout and the colours are really washed out. I am also experiencing this via Emby on my Nvidia shield, although i have a workaround by utilising an external player...not ideal, but it's there for now.

 

Other apps similar to Emby seem to work with this movie, both on ATV4K and Nvidia Shield.

 

Any ideas as o what the issue is here?  Would it help to provide logs, or (as mentioned earlier), is it a known problem.

Is it an HDR source and do you have HDR capable equipment? Emby on the Shield is principially capable of displaying HDR material, it works fine for me. Is the file direct played on the Shield?

The Emby App for Nvidia shield has problems playing cropped movies 4K HDR:

ok...thanks.  so it sounds like it's a known problem then..nothing that I can do about it, except wait.
