I tried to update but when I go into managing my library and I want to select the metadata downloader I can only choose TheMovieDB or The Open Movie Database. How to redo an automatic update based on IMDB? Happy2Play 9782 Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Emby have never pulled metadata from IMDB. Metadata has always come from TMDB and OMDB for movies. The closest you will ever get is OMDB.

Happy2Play 9782 Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 The database migration forces a re-index of most content types. From the sounds of it you do not save metadata with your media do you?

Volyova 2 Posted January 17, 2019 Author Posted January 17, 2019 thank you for your reply. I find it unfortunate this change. I like emby and I might take the time to manually update everything. In the meantime I think to try plex to see if my files will be recognized automatically.

The titles are no longer good and I have no more associated images. A manual 'search for missing metadata' usually adds the IMDb link. This is not version 4.x related. My server updated without any apparent loss of meta data. A personal debug tip: check the .nfo files to get an idea of what might be going on.

I will try to do manually even if will take a long time (I have 700 files) because I tryed Plex and I dont't like it... But I really don't like this Emby version for that...

Carlo 4561 Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 It has no problem with movies being in a folder off the root (I'd recommend it). Part of the issue is your naming which isn't ideal. Have you tried using a utility such as FileBot to rename your movies/shows properly?

Volyova 2 Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 Well i had each movie file on their own folder and it's work better now when I put all movie file on the root. sorry for my english. I hope i'm understandable.
