Hello.

Movie sorting - Data added - descending, totaly messed up after update to 4.0.0.2.

Not sure if its the update, or that i added opensubtitles user/pass and downloaded subtitles at the same time i updated Emby server.

Does the date added perhaps get affected by downloading subtitles?

Also, this only seems to affect movies, not tvshows.

Hi, why do you feel that the sorting is messed up? Can you please provide more information? Thanks.

I will try.

It seems Emby thinks a lot of my movies have been added today all of a sudden, even though they were added to library a long time ago.

According to emby i have added a lot of new movies today, when in fact i have not added a single movie today.

The actual latest movies added, are nowhere to be seen when sorted by date descending, i have to turn a lot of pages to find them.

Hope that was understandable, my english is not the greatest....

Its actually not a big problem for me, but i just thought i would mention it, as it happened after the server update, and the downloading of subs :)

Edit: It seems that some changes were made to some nfo files since they have todays date on "Date modified" in windows, and on those movies, it lists them as added today in Emby, even though they existed in the library from way earlier. But as mentioned, no big deal for me, as this will gradually get better when/if new movies are added.

Thanks for the feedback. It was probably something in the database upgrade that caused that. I'll see if i can chase it down and prevent it from happening, although in your case it won't be able to reverse what's already been done. Thanks.
