Random unwatched episode

This may already be possible on some clients but I do not see how it's possible yet on the Roku. What I would like is to see is the ability to shuffle random unwatched episodes from my library. This would be a really nice feature and have a cable TV like feel to it not knowing what's going to play next. Could also do the same for movies. But it would have to focus only on unwatched content or the feature wouldn't make any sense.

 

Could this be a future feature on the Roku?

Not sure if the official/beta app does it but selecting a item in the next up row and hitting play on the remote should do that (I know it did in BN). So it would play the episode in the next up row and go to the next series episode in next up.

Good to know but I see that more of a workaround Cue than actually playing random order shuffled episodes. The up next looks like it's based on the order it was put on the server or what was watched last.

I just gave it a try by hitting play on my remote on the first episode in up next and it does not work. Just goes to the next episode of the series it's currently playing.

Correct.  "Next Up" is not random.  It is play the next episode in order.

 

There is currently no way to shuffle play only unwatched episodes.
