Ametz 9 Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 (edited) All my movies, documentaries, series etc is named from imdb with date like this example: Me Before You (2016) Emby (and before Plex) seems to like that naming a lot, so thats why i stick to it. But now i come to a name i can't use (slash is not allowed for folder and files). How would you name it? Gruvstrejken 69/70 (1970) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0150795/?ref_=nv_sr_1 Edited January 13, 2019 by Ametz
Luke 42085 Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 That's a tough one, but i would try using a space instead of the slash.
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 My general rule is to copy the name from my primary metadata provider, tmdb in my case, and just paste that in as the file name. I'll add any additional elements needed to support multiple versions, trailers, and such. Windows just drops the invalid characters. Doing that I get Gruvstrejken 6970 (1970).mkv.

Normally i do the same. But in this case the "word" 69/70 loses it's meaning to much with 6970, because its the years 69 and 70. So in this case i will follow Luke (Admin's) example...
