RonK 4 Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 (edited) If I purchase a license I understand it is good for 15 devices. Does that include servers? The reason I ask is because I store my content on a couple of different NAS boxes depending on the media. I have Music on one NAS box with my video on another. And I use yet another for Misc. content. At the moment I am testing the server on a Windows desktop and if all goes well I will move the servers to the correct NAS box. Even doing this I don't anticipate running out of licenses. One of the NAS will be used for TV connection Via a Silicon Dust TV interface. I plan on purchasing a license to test the TV portion on my Windows computer but after testing I don't plan on keeping a server running on windows. Is this something I can do with the current license agreement. If I stop using or replace an existing client devise can I "de-authorize" and use the license on its replacement? Thanks for any advise you can give me concerning this. I also am impressed with the user interface for CD's I have being trying PLEX server and they have the interface totally screwed up and it doesn't look like they even understand the problem. As soon as I tried Emby with cd I was very pleased that you got it right. Thanks for that Edited January 13, 2019 by RonK

If not, it might help. In a users (not developers) opinion...the server itself does not count towards your 15 device limit. I probably shouldn't comment any more as I don't know enough about it, just thought I'd get the ball rolling, so to speak.
murky024 3 Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Servers do not count as a device. Thanks. Good to know. I want to install a 2nd server in my mini-van with an assortment of my media library for my kids. If I understand this all correctly, my server does not count against me as a device, it is only the Fire Stick that I am using to stream the media in my van?

Correct Emby Premiere key on more than one server
