frampo 0 Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 I'm having problems with emby showing films in two parts, namely Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Each file has the suffix "- part 1" and "part -2", but emby only shows the first one. How do I get both to show? Mtia. Dan
Happy2Play 9785 Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 Are you referring to the movies as part 1 and 2 or multi-part movies? What is your folder structure? Movie Naming Wiki 1
frampo 0 Posted January 13, 2019 Author Posted January 13, 2019 (edited) I have a very similar setup, the movie files are in a Harry Potter folder. I have taken your tip and renamed the deathly hallows files with the year and it works. Thank you very much. Edited January 13, 2019 by frampo
ebr 16195 Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 Yeah, this is a special case as those are actually two different movies that are named in such a way that they match our multi-part naming scheme. Before you added the year, the second part was probably showing as an additional part under the first movie.
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 This is a great example of why having each movie in its own folder, including the release year in your folder names and titles, and using the movie title pulled from your primary metadata provider are all such good ideas. If you're ripping movies from disc it isn't any extra work and if you're getting them some other way it can be automated. 1
