Search function returns less results

Dear all,

I want to populate my collections with specific movies. E. g. I want to have a collection where all files with the word "hello" in the filename should be included.

Currently I do this by using the Emby search function. Problem: I rarely find more than 24 results. In Windows Explorer, I find the right amount of items (multiple 100).

The libraries are fully indexed.

What might cause this problem?

Thanks!

in your search results each "type" has a heading - try clicking on that as it will take you to the full results

Each type indeed has a heading. Sadly, it is not a link/clickable. I tried it on a mobile browser and on my desktop browser.

I am running the latest official Emby 3.x release.

I tried multiple different words, all of them are there multiple hundred times on the file system but emby only finds roughly 20-25.

Emby shows all of them when I manually look at the library, though, which means it is actually indexed correctly.

anyway another reason to go to beta :)

Episode / albums and tracks are all links to full search result for that type

Ignore the blue colour as i have added css tweaks

Ah okay. Mhh... Any other ideas? Is this working as expected? Or is it somehow broken for me?

Each category is limited to 24. Eventually we'll redo the search screen and this I think will be lifted. Thanks.

Yeah, I think this is a limitation that hit many ppl - imho as Penkethboy said, if the headlines would link to "full category results", this would already help a lot.

it does this in other screens already - like the detail people screen - where you can click the link and get all the movies the actor appears in
