Emby Not Starting on Ubuntu 18.10

I just recently installed Emby and it was running fine for a few days. Last night I updated Ubuntu (patches) and now Emby will not start. I've been searching the forums but I can't seem to find any answers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, can you please attach the emby server log? thanks.

Hi, are you sure that's the most recent one? Since you've updated ubuntu, why try installing emby server again, on top of your existing version. have you tried that? thanks.

Posted

Yes I tried reinstalling emby-server-deb_3.5.3.0_amd64.deb again and rebooting after. I'm still not able to access the web interface, and "sudo service emby-server status" shows the same status.

Have you tried rebooting the machine? Do you have hauppauge software installed by any chance?

Posted

Yes to both. I have a hauppauge card and drivers installed, I don't believe I have any of their software installed.

Is the card and drivers the issue?

Got it thanks! If there's anything I do to help you out with this I'd be happy too.

Thanks. In the meantime our Docker container might be your best bet.
