CiATRiX 0 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 I just recently installed Emby and it was running fine for a few days. Last night I updated Ubuntu (patches) and now Emby will not start. I've been searching the forums but I can't seem to find any answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Luke 42079 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Hi there, can you please attach the emby server log? thanks.
Luke 42079 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Hi, are you sure that's the most recent one? Since you've updated ubuntu, why try installing emby server again, on top of your existing version. have you tried that? thanks.
CiATRiX 0 Posted January 12, 2019 Author Posted January 12, 2019 Yes I tried reinstalling emby-server-deb_3.5.3.0_amd64.deb again and rebooting after. I'm still not able to access the web interface, and "sudo service emby-server status" shows the same status.
Luke 42079 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Have you tried rebooting the machine? Do you have hauppauge software installed by any chance?
CiATRiX 0 Posted January 12, 2019 Author Posted January 12, 2019 Yes to both. I have a hauppauge card and drivers installed, I don't believe I have any of their software installed. Is the card and drivers the issue?
Luke 42079 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 We have previously confirmed the hauppauge drivers cause some kind of conflict, and we haven't yet worked out a solution: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/61703-ubuntu-1604-tried-upgrading-to-emby-server-deb-3602-amd64deb/?p=608935
CiATRiX 0 Posted January 12, 2019 Author Posted January 12, 2019 Got it thanks! If there's anything I do to help you out with this I'd be happy too.
Luke 42079 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Thanks. In the meantime our Docker container might be your best bet.
