LiveTV and Xbox One

Does anyone have this working?

I was really excited to have my poker game tonight and have the baseball game on during it in my game room but it looks like no dice.

I tried DLNA method and it tells me "Unrecognized Item Type"

I then redeemed my xbox live subscription to try it via the web client method and this tries for a little bit and then says no tuners available - I guess due to the no IE support?

If anyone has any other suggestions they would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

Unrelated to xbox but I realized a way to accomplish my goal tonight using OSX AirPlay mirroring to play on my macbook pro and then mirror to the TV using my AppleTV.

Would still be really nice to get the xbox working some day!  :-)

+1 on the xbon one client - would be a bit of win!

How about you using a chromecast on the xbox one.

Cool video but I am not sure how this is related to LiveTV (or MediaBrowser for that matter).  As far as I can tell you are just playing pre-saved TV show files from Plex via Chromecast.

I can play already such TV shows with either DLNA or the Web Client.

I am looking to see if anyone has LiveTV working - as in something currently playing on cable.  I don't think it is possible right now due to the issues I mentioned but it would be great if it were.

Unless we can already play LiveTV to Chromecast right now?  I have not been able to get my Chromecast to show up in the remote options in my MB app so I can't test this unfortunately.

live tv is tricky with IE but depending on the capabilities of the native xbox one video player, it could be possible later with dlna and/or play to. i say later because we really haven't tested them at all yet, so, even if it doesn't work now that doesn't mean it's not possible.

Have you been able to get DLNA working with the Xbox One? All the tests I've do haven't worked. Are you using the default profile?

we haven't had enough xbox one users in the alpha area helping with debugging so i'm not surprised it's not working yet.

No worries. I've posted several logs so far including this one last week, I haven't seen any replies from it though. I don't actually use my Xbox for TV, but I can continue testing if you want to get it going.

yup, and they were helpful. it changed a lot though during the week so new reports would be great when you have a chance. although i would start with something simpler to see if the basics work before live tv.

Will do. I did actually try it yesterday, but the results were the same, so I didn't think anything had changed. I'll try again and post some more logs for you. I'm interested to hear if @@moviefan got it working too.

thanks. plus make sure to try both ways. both with play to and also trying to browse the dlna server.

Unfortunately the Xbox One doesn't support browsing, only Play To. I'll try it on my Samsung Series B though.

On the topic of Live TV via DLNA. I think it would be a cool feature. I don't think I'd use it personally, but I do know a guy in the office (silly plex user) that would love to use something like that.

Yup.  See this post:  http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/6325-is-there-anyway-to-force-it-to-stream-in-stereo-only/?p=88708

Others in that thread also have it working.  I havent changed any of the DLNA settings at all.

Thanks, I must have missed that post. I'll look into the formats you used to see if I can get it working. @@Luke might be interested in some logs from your working streams too.

Hello-

Wondering if any progress has all been made on this?

If we could get LiveTV directly to Xbox One or PS4 I would be extremely grateful!

Happy to donate if it helps.

Cheers.
