All files transcoding

Not sure if this is an IOS thing or a server thing. All my movies are M4V formatted for iTunes / appletv. However when I play them via the iOS app on my iPhone the server is transcoding them. I can tell due to the high CPU usage. It doesn't do this with the iPhones video player app or with plex. I could have a setting wrong. Thanks for the help.

It could be the file format, I check for mp4 not m4v.

Fyi, you most likely can play m4v using the same rules as mp4.

Ok, I tried changing the extention on one of the files to MP4. It still transcoded.
