backup emby

hi

 

i have installed emby on synology nas for a while, i sed the backup plugin fre trials to backup few times . now trial period is over ,
so what is the next easiest way to backup once in a while?

when i had emby on windows it was easy. had acronis backp the folders with the data .

but on synology nas its a bit harder to get to the right folders .
also have hyper backup installed but it cant acces the emby folder.

If following the manual instructions above the folders are found under

 

/var/packages/EmbyServer/target/var

 

Did you shutdown Emby?

i know the map. but problem is i cant reacht it from the nas interface or from a backup program like hyperbackup or acronis.
i want to automate the proces and backup that map once every 2 months , but only maps i can reach are the shared maps on the synology and not the /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/var/ map

anything?? i dont want to step over to an alternative if i not have to or even the emby fork. but i cant and wont pay only for a backup option.. dont even get why i should pay for only a backup option. hmmm

have you tried connecting via ssh to see if you can access the folders that way?

can acces the folder through ftp but want to automate the proces

Is it possible to mount the ftp path to a local path in Synology? I think if that's possible then that would allow other apps to see it.
