Is there a way to get the channel a recording was recorded from?

Using the API, There's a lot of calls, been reading through the various ones, but assuming I know a filename, is there a way to get the channel it was recorded from? Speaking of DVR recordings.

After the recording has completed, no. What we need is some kind of recording history api.
