Kubla Khan 1 Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 I am having a problem with streaming video with EMBY that I have not seen in the forums before. My LAN looks like this. PC Server with 3 drives, C: D: E: > Router > Switch > Roku box > SONY KDSR70XBR2 (old model) And PC Server > Router > Switch > Samsung Smart UN50KU6300 with the EMBY app. Using the EMBY app streaming to the older Sony thru the Roku is seamless from the 1TB D: drive and the 10TB E: drive. Using the EMBY app on the Samsung streaming is normal from the D: drive but the from the E: drive it does this: Films are displayed normally but when selected the play page comes up and buffering is constant. I let it buffer for an hour but nothing happens. Another strange occurrence: Play all works. The first film shown is 3 Godfathers. If I select "Play All" that film will play. All connections have been checked. I have rebooted everything. As far as I know I didn't make any changes. EMBY server is up to date. Each film is an MKV in its own folder. This system has been running since the early Media Browser days. Recent log files attached. CrystalDiskMark reports all drives good. EMBY Server Log 1.txt EMBY Server Log 2.txt
Luke 42080 Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 Hi, in all cases in these logs the files are direct playing. There's not much we're going to be able to do about any buffering here. You could try lowering the in-app quality setting so that content will transcode and be delivered at lower bitrates. You could also look for a possible network issue that could be causing this. Thanks.
