steve1977 67 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 It works for a > 1000 movies in my library, but a few dozens have problems. I have manually entered the IMDB ID, but (when hitting refresh), movie information does not get populated. See below log for one of these movies below: https://www.paste.to/HVzLkcIP
WWWestern 94 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 2014-04-23 12:24:37.2821 Error - App: Error in Media Browser Xml Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1. Appears XML files are broken. Just remove they, then scan library.
steve1977 67 Posted April 23, 2014 Author Posted April 23, 2014 Is there any chance for MBS to have another way to spot broken XML? It is a pain to spot if/whether something is broken.
WWWestern 94 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Not cook an omelet without breaking eggs. I know not other reliable way. You can try batch erase XML files for example run in command line del *.xml in root of movies folder, then scan library. It is for own risc, be carefully. For any conclude this is lack of info. Do you seen ?

The server should show a red triangle with an exclamation point for anything it can't identify. Edit the item and click the Identify button. Put your IMDB ID here and go through the process. It should rewrite the XML when it is done. If you go to Reports at the bottom of the Metadata Editor, you can filter by "Unidentified" and it will show all movies that are missing information. 2

That's what I was hoping that this does not work like this yet. I actually added an IMDB ID to the movies with broken XML file. Also, they have posters and backdrops. When clicking "refresh", it doesn't add anything. but the IMDB ID stays in MBS and no triangle is shown.
steve1977 67 Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 Any chance to add this "red triangle" also for movies that have broken XML?
