i believe guidance was available for downgrading and blocking future updates though?

Not sure, I haven't dug too deeply, read it over my morning coffee   But Logitech clearly states there will not be a downgrade available through official channels.

This only affected local access so alexa stuff would have still worked depending on your setup.... Although they're now backpedalling and enabling local access again

yeah just came to post that.  funny stuff.  I wonder which overpaid clueless suit decided it was a good idea in the first place.
