yobrevar 1 Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 I have this very same annoying issue. I have been trying to setup running Emby Server as a windows service. It used to work fine, but with the latest server updates it no longer works. In fact things are so bad now, i have lost my entire server all together. I followed the instructions on using NSSM, which created a service. But it fails with various error codes. Thinking it was a problem with the "run Emby Server at startup" from the dashboard; as it clearly states to disable this if you intend to use windows services, i now have no server running. Nothing happens if i manually try to run the EmbyServer.exe file, nothing loads and the service is definitely not running in Windows Services. I'm now without any server and don't relish to idea of having to do a reinstall and rebuild all of my library again, as i just had to do when you updated the last media browser server a couple of months ago. I can't get back into the Dashboard to re-enable "run server at startup", cause i can't get Emby Server to run. Helps me please.

xler8 0 Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 After installing on Win10, I wasn't seeing a Start Menu folder. It was visible later, not sure why it wasn't showing at first. In case anyone has similar issues, here is the path for the shortcut to start Emby server:C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\EmbyServer.exe
