beckfield 173 Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 (edited) I'm guessing that the thumbnails for playlists, genres, etc., are generated by the server, so this is why I'm posting this in the Server forum. I have two music libraries - one for my classical music, and one for everything else. If I enter the Classical library, then click "Genres" on the top bar, it shows a group of genres that appear within the library. That much is fine. But the thumbnails created for the genres look like this: The circled images are albums that fit the genres mentioned, but they are in the other library. When I open the 'Christmas' genre, for example, it does not list the circled album, which is correct. The problem is only in the generation of the thumbnails. Not a serious problem, but it was a little confusing until I figured it out. Edited December 18, 2018 by beckfield
Luke 42079 Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Because dating back to Media Browser 2, genres are a shared object that live in one single place so that users can easily customize their genre images. In order to resolve this, it means we're going to have to break away from this old pattern and isolate the genres to each library. @@Happy2Play
Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 One reason I use custom images. As there is no easy way to use this shared resource over multiple libraries. This applies to all content type genres (TV, Movies, Music).
