Transcoding new content

I will have content coming from two sources into my TV Show library. Live TV Recordings (IPTV) and my TV Tuner (Tablo)

I do NOT want to transcode the TV Tuner shows since they have already been transcoded and are in MP4 format.

Basically I only want to transcode any .ts file formats and keep everything in the same library. Can this be done?

How is that? Does the transcoder know that a file has already been transcoded? Does it not do MP4's.

Please be more specific on how I can handle this.

So does the transcoder not convert any MP4's? Or is it just files that were already transcoded?

 

I guess what I do not know is if all MP4's are transcoded files. What about MKV's? same deal?

It won't convert anything that already matches the target criteria.

It includes whatever already matches the criteria you select when you create a conversion job.
