tmdb episode groups

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I see some series (ex dragon ball super or la casa de papel) that have the original episode group and the alternative (for casa de papel is the netflix division)

is there a method to use the alternate group of episodes when scraping?

What do you mean by episode group?

What function do episode groups have? Are they like movie collections?

I guess it really depends on how you save series like this.  By default TMDB has every episode in Season 1, but the groupings still have the same display order but broken down (like each Saga, DVD is multiple part) So not one endless Season..

that have the same functions as airing/dvd orders in tvdb, just with self definable titles for the order

seeing the "braindead" quirks tvdb is moving to, i would prefer to support this

Yes this is what I mean..

I was watching it because I have casa de papel in netflix order but tvdb and tmdb has only original tv episode order..

The only way to scrap netflix order is the episode group of tmdb..

So I'm asking

The Series (edit Metadata) "Display order:" option only applies to TVDB, correct?

there are only the 3 options tvdb offers, so yes

alternatively any suggestions about adding the netflix version of "casa de papel" on emby without varying about future metadata refresh??

its also possible to lock down metadata (bottom of "edit metadata" tool) to not allow to got altered by an automatic refresh

Correct, only supported by the tvbd provider.
