Reinstall Kodi; Could not connect to repository

Hi,

Kodi stopt syncing the watched status from Emby to Kodi.

Whatever I tried it was not working anymore.

So I uninstalled Kodi and I reinstalled Kodi 17 from QnapClub.

I added the EmbyKodi respository from a zip file.

I followed this guide, like I did before; https://github.com/MediaBrowser/plugin.video.emby/wiki/Emby-Repository

But now I'm stuck.

When trying to install Kody Emby Addons 1.0.4 or 1.0.6 Kodi gives the error message: Could not connect to repository.

I also cannot download the Embuary skin. Nothing happens.

Please provide a log and check if your system date/time is correct.

We switched to https for the repo. It's working on my end and I have no problems connecting to the repo.

ERROR: CCurlFile::FillBuffer - Failed: SSL connect error(35)

Can you access this file on your browser? https://embydata.com/downloads/addons/xbmb3c/kodi-beta-repo/addons.xml.md5

Please check your date / time / timezone settings of your Kodi client. SSL connections require a correct system date.

Edit:

Please also reinstall your Kodi Krypton to a newer version, because it's quite old (17.5 Oct 2017).

Yes I can download that file.

There is no newer version for Qnap firmware version 4.3.

It used to work until yesterday.

Hard to say what's causing it. Qnap isn't officially supported so it could be everything.

I tried everything in those topics but it didn't help. I'm now searching for a solution for 2 days.

The last thing I desperately tried was a factory reset of the NAS. It will take a couple of days to install and configure all the apps again and to restore a backup from the secondary NAS.

The first thing I already tried was of course Kodi.

Everything works except installing from repository http://kodi.emby.media

Still the same issue...

I have no idea. As workaround edit the addon.xml of the repository and replace all three "https://" links with "http://". That will use non-https links again. Don't forget to restart Kodi afterwards.
