MediaManager 0 Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 I had high expectations and this has been a very frustrating experience. I am using the latest version of emby (3.5.3.0) on a Windows 10 system, and have added ISO images to my library. The emby server seems to identify and access each of the ISO images. I'd like to stream the content to a Sony 4K TV running Android. Although I can access the emby server from the TV, I can't access DVD menus that show up. I have used the emby and Kodi clients and they aren't able to access DVD menus. I can just keep an ISO playing. Searching online, I found I need to change settings on the "playback" tab (e.g. "disable for DVD rips"), but I can't find the setting anywhere. Any thoughts? PS Don't ask me to convert the ISO files to mkvs. Not happening.
ebr 16185 Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Hi. Unfortunately, that format is simply archaic in today's streaming world. We can only support it in limited situations and a smart TV is never going to be one of them I'm afraid.
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 As requested, I won't ask you to switch from ISO. I'll tell you. Switch from ISO or pick a different client app that supports that format. That said, ISO is a VERY limiting format. 1

Sammy 790 Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 ISO serves its purpose. A storage container for media isn't one of them. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk
