TastyPomme 7 Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 Good Morning, For some reasons, a lot of movies with Crime genre are FR-U (certificate authorising the screening of the film to all members of the public). Definitely not suitable for kids. I did use UK certificates instead and it looks like it helped a bit. But still too many movies remain unrated or are still set to their original French certificate. It appears the easiest way for me would be to restrict this particular genre and others to my children accounts. I have read previous topics requesting the same... And the idea was not retained. The solution to restrict TAGs seems archaic and would demand to tag manually far too many Movies and TV Shows. Would there be a plugin that would auto-tag the genres? Any other simple workaround would also be welcome
TastyPomme 7 Posted December 15, 2018 Author Posted December 15, 2018 (edited) Hi, where did the FR-U come from? From the movie database, I guess e.g. https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/64686-47-ronin/edit?active_nav_item=release_information&language=en-US Movie is set as U in France, while you need to be 12 in the UK or Germany Edited December 15, 2018 by Fabrice1973
Luke 42086 Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 Ah yes OK. That could be a problem then. What does your movie folder structure look like?
TastyPomme 7 Posted December 16, 2018 Author Posted December 16, 2018 (edited) Ah yes OK. That could be a problem then. What does your movie folder structure look like? Not certain of your question but a single movie per folder if that answers it. I understand it's not an Emby issue but I'm surely not the only parent that wants their kids to watch only appropriate content. Another solution could be to download multiple certifications from TMDB/OMDB and set your favourite location or lowest/highest as MPAA rating value. For now, I seem to be left to use again Ember and Tag all Crime, Horror, War movies and replace all French-U certifications with Swiss, German, Brits or American ones on a movie to movie basis. And disable the refresh meta data every X days And downloading all certifications in Ember does the job but there is a display issue unfortunately. Last but not least, I had to recreate several NFO files as well as some movies had an INFO file created instead - Is that coming from Emby? Edited December 16, 2018 by Fabrice1973
Luke 42086 Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 Hi, Emby does not create any .info files.
TastyPomme 7 Posted December 17, 2018 Author Posted December 17, 2018 What about aggregating the various parental guides? And display the highest/lowest/local/average?
Luke 42086 Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 That sounds complex because how do you normalize them? It probably would be better to let you customize where data comes from on a per field basis.

Luke 42086 Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 The other option is reporting this to MovieDb and maybe they can help mass edit them.
