I want to buy the lifetime membership for my boyfriend and my dad for Christmas as a joint present but I'm not sure how the activation works and if I should buy it or give money for the membership. Would I get a code that I can gift? Or do you have to be logged in to buy the membership directly for the account? Any info on activating a membership would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You will get a good idea of premiere.

 

You (or whomever makes the purchase) will receive a premiere key via email that is entered in Emby Server to give access to all the premiere features. If LveTV/DVR is one of those features you think will be used then a supported tuner (HDHomeRun for example) will also be required.
