Mike5123 1 Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 How well does the 4K fire tv stick function with video transcoding disabled on the user settings? If anyone who has a stick can test it for me, specifically on h.264 and h.265 that would be great!
ebr 16169 Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 That is going to be completely dependent on your content and the outboard equipment the stick is attached to (for audio support). In general, you would probably need all your content in h264/aac or ac3.

In general, you would probably need all your content in h264/aac or ac3. Well, the stick supports x264/x265. What if I have audio transcoding enabled under the user settings. Does that affect videos, or is that purely for music?
