If you are using the web app you can hide both the More Like This Section and the Suggestions Menu Tab (and/or potentially any other sections/tabs) by using custom CSS. I've been experimenting with this recently and (thanks to some useful help from a couple of forum members) have managed to hide unwanted sections/tabs without too much difficulty. It's also possible to rearrange the sections/tabs into a custom order. This may or may not be easy, depending on your library setup. Changes to one library view may adversely affect another library, but perhaps it's worth a look at? There's a lot more info available on various threads in the Web App CSS forum if you are interested.
visproduction 315 Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 (edited) I find that adding additional genres, tags and collections helps with the AI "More LIke This" feature to be spot on accurate. I am very happy with the results being spot on for all content. I add in collections such as: Academy awards, Best Films - Critic and community choice, Cult films, Film Noir, Plot - Bedroom Farce, Plot - Buddy roadtrip, Plot - Chase + 20 more ... I add in tags for locations and languages spoken: French, France, German, Germany, Australia, Canada... I add some new genres that I have to manually update for new content: Dance, Super hero, Suspense, Thriller, Time Travel This "More Like This" suggestions for The Jacket (2005) seem to be a very close match. A military veteran goes on a journey into the future, where he can foresee his death and is left with questions that could save his life and those he loves. Others seem to like them and it seems many use them but the "more like this" is, for me, just an unwelcome intrusion into my viewing experience. I have no desire to force others to view the way I do, I just want Emby to actually provide their promise of: "Emby, your media your way." Right now it often seems closer to: "Emby your media our way" and that is not what I would prefer from my media manager. But it is a lot better than the alternatives. Everything not directly related to finding and showing my media is just "fluff" and I don't want my media to be "fluffy." While I understand that the "fluff" is important to many and that things I don't want are important to others and that "options" increase programming complexity I would like to see much of what Emby provides become optional. I want the same thing so badly! What on earth do we need to do for this to happen?
