dmcurator 0 Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 Please be gentle, I'm new here. I'm testing Emby for the 1st time. I set up a server on Windows 10 and added some media (MP3s) for my test. I need some assistance getting Emby to recognize/use my custom fanart and the metadata embedded in my MP3 files. The MP3s are organized in a manner consistent with the folder structure set forth here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Music%20naming 1st Question: When I created the library, I unchecked all the boxes to use external sources from which to download metadata. I've confirmed via "Manage Library" that none are checked. Is there an option to force Emby to use custom fanart and embedded metadata? 2nd Question: Each "Artist" folder includes custom fanart that I previously used with PLEX. Essentially, I've 2 JPG images in each Artist folder: the first is a thumbnail photo of the artist and the second is a background image for that artist. I'm not clear how these files should be named. I tried naming them "poster.jpg" and :background.jpg," respectively. I then refreshed the metadata to no avail. Emby doesn't see or isn't picking them up. Any insight would be sincerely appreciated. 3rd Question: Each MP3 file has been meticulously tagged using MP3tag. The tags include embedded album art. Emby isn't picking them up, either. Any insight would be sincerely appreciated. Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere. Clearly, I am missing something. Thanks, in advance.
