Backing up server

Hi Chaps, 

 

Hope somebody can help with a back up question.

 

I have the back up app on my server that is backing up at regular instances, however, i have noticed that within the back ups , it saves user information, but, does not save the pictures i have for my folders or sections (movies, tv, stand up etc). It loses all images i have associated within the folders and i have to find and up load them all again, surely there is a way of taking a back up of the complete set up, folders, images etc?

 

Hope someone can help, as i am about to transfer to a new PC and the prospect of having to re upload everything is putting me off?

You can always just back up the entire emby server folder under c:\users\[username]\appdata\roaming

 

Then you won't need to rebuild anything.

Thanks for the reply - will thay also back all my users information - i have 6 other people sharing?

Yes. You won't lose any info and nothing will need to be rebuilt on the new PC. Although a library scan may be required if any of your media locations have changed.
