jnyreb 0 Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 Please disregard all my previous posts. I upgraded my hardware, changed to Ubuntu 18.04, reinstalled everything and Emby works like a champ. However, I notice that IPTV is not shown in the dashboard/config screens. I used that to stream our college grandsons musical performances to our TVs. Is there another method for doing that or do I need to install something to make it happen? Thanks for your help. I need to fix this or grandma will be unhappy, the kitchen will be cold and grandpa will be hungry. Charlie Bishop Mena Arkansas
Luke 42079 Posted December 9, 2018 Posted December 9, 2018 Have you checked out the Live TV configuration screens in the server dashboard?
jnyreb 0 Posted December 10, 2018 Author Posted December 10, 2018 Yes. but. What I want to do is stream a specific URL from the Emby server to the TV in the living room (Roku). I probably missing something(s) but I don't see anything that does that. Devices shows Firefox but I don't see any config options there. Maybe I'm woofing up the wrong tree in this instance. I love the media server. I've got a lot of old movies and it's fun to be able to watch then easily on any TV in the house
jnyreb 0 Posted December 10, 2018 Author Posted December 10, 2018 I found and installed IPTV in plugins. Now I will see what I can figure out.
Luke 42079 Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Ok for a specific url, then yes, the IPTV plugin is the best choice for that.
jnyreb 0 Posted December 13, 2018 Author Posted December 13, 2018 Hopefully I'm getting close. What router ports need to be open to the Internet. I thought 8920 would do it but apparently not. I have 8920 open on the router and it seems to want to work but no soap. Thanks again.
Luke 42079 Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 The default http port for Emby is 8096, and the https port is 8920.
