Do you have subtitles selected?

Can you provide a sample video for testing?

thanks for reply.

I can't split the source file  with built-in subtitles, i tried, the result output file does not contain subtitles.

Then I try playback another movie with subtitle that is not built in the movie file, the chrome will not report crash, it works fine

Sometimes later,I will try again to split movie with built-in subtitles.

Something need to be added: The source file contains two kinds of subtitles, one kind  is PGS  (three subtitles as you can see the source file info above , eng, chi , chi ), the other kind is ASS (advanced substation alfa),once i select the ASS before playback, shortly , the chrome crash.

There's no problem about the PGS subtitles.

Can you share one of the video files for testing? Thanks.

Can you share one of the video files for testing? Thanks.

try these, thx

I used tool to split the source file to pieces, pls download the attached file and rename it from "test.txt" to "test.mkv". Then put into emby video library, try to playback with chrome with another pc.

thanks again.

Ok yes I can reproduce. This might be a hard one as the problem is in a third party subtitle rendering library we are using. We'll look into it. Thanks.

Were there supposed to be subtitles visible in that sample? i was able to hack it and fix the problem, but I don't see any subtitles. Thanks.

The red font shows the subtitles is ASS format

I've used the Potplay to playback, it works fine

Ok yea I see the subtitles in Firefox, just not Chrome. I can try and revisit this later, but for now I've at least stopped the browser crash. Thanks.

Interesting. Firefox seemed OK to me. Regardless I would suggest retrying with the next release of Emby Server. Thanks !
