star_wyvern 0 Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Hello, I have recently installed Emby and love it! I've noticed however that after a few days it creates massive log files. Luckily I was able to find them and delete them. I was wondering if there was a way to have Emby auto delete them after a certain file size? Thanks!
ebr 16195 Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Hi. These are cleaned up automatically. What are you calling "massive"?
star_wyvern 0 Posted December 5, 2018 Author Posted December 5, 2018 There were 2 files both 37 Gigabytes a piece. I didn't have any space left of my SSD!

star_wyvern 0 Posted December 5, 2018 Author Posted December 5, 2018 Not to my knowledge. It should just be a clean install. Just pointed it toward my media folders.
Luke 42085 Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Can you look for any repeated log messages? Thanks
star_wyvern 0 Posted December 5, 2018 Author Posted December 5, 2018 Where will I find that? Do you just want me to screenshot it?
Luke 42085 Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Just eyeball the contents of the logs. Thanks.
star_wyvern 0 Posted December 5, 2018 Author Posted December 5, 2018 I uninstalled the Music Video Plugin. Also I'm not sure what log file to look at. I don't know what I'm looking for either. I have an alert that will never go away even though I have space back.

When looking at the log file are there lots of errors that repeat?
star_wyvern 0 Posted December 5, 2018 Author Posted December 5, 2018 I've deleted the 2 log files that were 37 Gig.
