Gohlas 14 Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Hei. I have a couple of movies in aac 7.1 that does not play (just audio doesn't play, videos is fine) on my Xbox one S. Any possibility to add automaticly transcode (downmix) AAC 7.1 audio to AAC or AC3 5.1 on xbox app? (Same as TRUEHD)
Luke 42077 Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Hi, you're saying the Xbox does not support this? Or your audio equipment?
Gohlas 14 Posted December 5, 2018 Author Posted December 5, 2018 My audio equipment does not support aac7.1. Not sure about the xbox.
Solution Luke 42077 Posted December 6, 2018 Solution Posted December 6, 2018 Ok, we plan to add an audio settings screen in the future to allow you to indicate which formats can be passed through. Thanks. 2
jntaylor1701 6 Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 It's a Receiver. I think that the XBOX can be set to bitstream 5.1 / 7.1 PCM. You should then be able to send that PCM audio from your XBOX to your receiver via HDMI. If you are using optical cable, then you can not. I have this set-up with a Yamaha AV Receiver. 1
