Damn, I hoped it was just a temporary issue...

Currently, user/show statistics seems to be broken for me and at least some others.

Why do you feel that way? Did you try doing what the instructions say?

Over the last 24 hours I started the Task "Calculate statistics for all users" several times.

It finished fine, showing no errors in the logs, but the above message in the statistics plugin remained.

As you saw in the other topic that linked you here, See the first post.

The plugin is now longer developed and the TVDB API should be seen by everyone by now.

@@Luke I think this plugin needs to be pulled unless we can talk @@reggi into pushing a update for it.

Hey, seems like the plugin is not really working.

I will have a look in the weekend about what happens with the TVDB call and see if I can fix it

Announcement:
As of today (30/04/2018), I will no longer update this plugin. Only fix it when there is a Nuget Package update needed. This is because I'm working on a standalone statistics server. Here you can find the main forum thread for EmbyStat. If you have any ideas, design layouts, development knownledge feel free to participate there or on the github repo

Thanks everyone for all the support, testing and patience that made this plugin grown. But I think to get even better and more statistics, a standalone server is the way to go.

Thanks!

Is the standalone server at this point feature equivalent?

Yes

Taking that into consideration, should the plugin just be updated to be an empty config screen that informs people about the standalone server? Then once they've seen that, they can uninstall the plugin.

Does the stand-alone server have a proper install package and update system in place yet?

Thats the main reason I have been waiting to try it, I just haven't kept a hugely close eye on it.

I know this but I think what I'm reporting is a bug and not an enhancement or new feature..

I'm in a major update now, so when that is ready for release and bug fixed by the beta testers I can add a splash screen in the plugin maybe to inform about the standalone server. But that will take a bit more time.

You don't even need that much, just some text on the plugin config screen saying that it's been converted to an external application. The sooner you do this the better as it will greatly reduce troubleshooting.

I just released a new version mentioning that the pling is deprecated and will be removed soon.

Also the nuget package is updated so it should work again for now (fixed the total movie count as well)

Great, thanks. pretty soon though i would go a step further and just turn the plugin into nothing but a blank config screen with information about the new app. This will be the best way to get everyone switched over.

Sounds like a good idea ideed. But I want to have a proper running version then before moving people to the new app.

This is do to the plugin not being updated completely to the "/index.html#!/" url changes made awhile ago.  Movie list is the same way.  But with development of this plugin stopped over a year ago "As of today (30/04/2018), I will no longer update this plugin", I would expect things to not function properly.

With the release of the new Emby server version 4.2.0.40, the statistics plugin fails to run the calculate user statistics task.
