Perplexed 25 Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 I'm running Emby in Docker. It worked flawlessly, until about a week ago when suddenly it would stop scanning at 90.3% - and it hasn't proceeded further than that ever since. I reinstalled the server from scratch, Emby from scratch, but 90.3 seems to be the magical holdup where it just won't proceed! In fact when it gets stuck, the entire container seems to hang... Any ideas? Log file: https://fil.email/JYUgTlG5 Thanks
Luke 42079 Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 There doesn't seem to be any evidence that it is stuck. All library scans in this log either successfully completed or were cancelled. I would just give it time and allow it to finish. Thanks. 1
Perplexed 25 Posted December 1, 2018 Author Posted December 1, 2018 Thanks Luke! I'll let it run for a full week and report back. I guess what threw me is the fact the container becomes unresponsive when it's scanning, but I now know patience is the key...
Perplexed 25 Posted December 2, 2018 Author Posted December 2, 2018 To finish off this topic, Emby just finished scanning... it took a full week to get from 90.3% to 100% but you were quite right... in the end it sure got there. Thanks again for the help!
ddurdle 75 Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 I found 99% of the time I had a problematic, seemingly stuck scan always ended up being a permissions issue on subfolder in the library folder. Like a movie or TV show where emby doesn't have write access to save the nfo and artwork when those options are enabled.
Perplexed 25 Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 (edited) Yes, I was thinking perhaps a corrupt file somewhere might have caused it to choke for a while... I also ran into quite a few Google API bans at the time - it might have all been connected. All's well now, I'm happy to say Edited December 9, 2018 by Perplexed
