Update Trakt watched history during Scheduled Task

If checked, Emby will only sync from Trakt during the Trakt scheduled tasks.

 

 

What happens when this is left unchecked? Are there other times when Emby will sync from trakt? To me the "only" implies that there are other times/events/triggers when sync will happen.

 

Or does unchecking this disable trakt sync completely?

 

Or will it only scrobble?

It will still scrobble, but looking at the code it appears that when syncing library contents, it will not send historical watch data to trakt, in order to prevent overwriting it.

If I'm understanding you correctly, unchecking this setting will make Emby push all local emby watched history data to a trakt account, in addition to pulling watched history from trakt which it does regardless of the checked or unchecked state of this setting.
