Incorrect Movie Count

I just noticed that when looking at my "Movies" media folder it shows that I have 941 titles, but when browsing my collection via the "Movies" tab, it only shows 874 titles. I counted my movies in explorer with their actual folders, and there is indeed 941 of them. Also, MBT is also only showing 874 if I click on the "Movies" tab, but showing all 941 if I go through the Movies Folder.

 

Any ideas why this could be happening?

Best guess - You have 67 items that are in your "Movies" media folder but aren't actually "Movies" as far as MB is concerned.

Hmm, I'm not sure which ones MB wouldn't be recognizing as movies, any ideas on a simple way to figure out which 67 titles MB doesn't consider to be movies? They are in 3 different folders, and I only put movies in them.

If you have any browsers or collections, those will be subtracted from the total in the Movie view but will be counted in the Folder view.

I believe I am now facing the same issue. In the "old days", my movie library showed individual movies (even if they are part of a collection). Now, the collection shows up. I liked the old way that I have the individual movies in the movie library and the collections only in the collection view.

 

Am I missing something or has this indeed been changed?

Got it, this probably also answers my other question about the "auto box set" plugin? I still have a boxset folder, which right now is no longer needed?

only you can answer if it's needed or not. either you want to set them up with the web interface, or you want the plugin to do it for you

Sorry for confusion. I used to have a separate folder for all the collections. I don't know how I created it, but I no longer know how to recreate it again. There is no (longer?) a function in the plugin or MBS to have the collection art in a separate dedicated folder. I may just be missing the setting?

See the link to the thread about the plugin. The thread implies there is a way that I can specificy the folder for collection info to be placed, but somehow I cannot find this setting anymore. Is this related to the new way MBS treats collections?
