ps4 media player problem

Can I play movie through PS4 media player (DLNA),now cannot found emby server on the player. And I found web browser need time to load and not convenient as media player.

I have noticed a similar issue.
Sometimes I must disable and enable the DLNA server in the EMBY server settings, so it can be found by the PS4 again.

Maybe we have a misunderstanding here.

In my case the DLNA feature is enabled all the time.

But sometimes (I do not really often use the PS4 with EMBY so it is not a big issue for me) the server cannot be found anymore by the PS4.

To get it visible within the Mediaplayer again, I have to disable and enable the feature.

 

What cause need manually disable and enable in the DLNA server in the EMBY server settings?

Was it the same in your case?

The server sends out notifications across your network every 30 minutes. you could try increasing that frequency in dlna settings.

I changed to 30 seconds, seems still need time to appear, but plex no need have time to wait.
