markdj 49 Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 (edited) Hi, I'm not sure how long it's been going on but I've started to check my collections today and there were quite a few incomplete. So I've created new collections and added titles to them, except, they don't get added. The collection gets created and that's it. Adding titles through the regular web interface or through the metadata manager results in nothing. Deleting them and letting them recreate by the plug-in also does not work, the titles just don't get added. (10 Cloverfield Lane should be listed in the log, which I tried adding). Cars 3, for example, also doesn't get added. The other 2, however, are in an existing collection. Movies also have the proper tags, and no missing information. I see they're being added to the collections.xml files correctly but they don't show up. Any ideas? embyserver.txt Edited November 25, 2018 by markdj
Luke 42078 Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Hi there, it is resolved for the next release. Thanks. 1
markdj 49 Posted November 25, 2018 Author Posted November 25, 2018 Hi there, it is resolved for the next release. Thanks. Not to sound impatient but any idea when that might be (running the stable version, by the way)?
nanuk 36 Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 (edited) Hi there, it is resolved for the next release. Thanks. Is this the reason why no Collections are being created automaticly although the option "group movies in collections" is set in library options? Or do I have to set additional options to get the collections created? Or do I have to create all collections manually? Edited November 27, 2018 by nanuk

It isn't to create them. However, we do have a plug-in that will do that for you if you wish. It is called Auto BoxSets and can be found in the catalog. Thanks.
markdj 49 Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 Has this been fixed yet with the latest beta? It still doesn't work as it should (missing movies/some collections not being created).
Luke 42078 Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 What isn't being created? Why do you feel something should be created?
markdj 49 Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 Well, I've updated Emby Server to the latest beta and I thought collections would be fixed but I have a lot of missing and incomplete collections still. Cars contains just Cars 1 and 2. If I add 3 to it nothing happens, nor is it automatically added in the first place (even though the data is correct). Amazing Spider-Man also doesn't have a collection. I have quite a few more and I've tried resetting, deleting the database, uninstalling and reinstalling the collections plug-in, et cetera, but nothing helps.

Have you read the autoboxsets wiki article to learn what is required? https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/AutoBoxSets
markdj 49 Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 Have you read the autoboxsets wiki article to learn what is required? https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/AutoBoxSets I have. It's set to default settings, and refreshing doesn't work either.
markdj 49 Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 Yes, the ID is correct, but it doesn't update the collection.
markdj 49 Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 Ok, so I removed everything in the collections foider and let it rescan with the boxsets plug-in. Problem remains. However I do notice it's processed via the Metadata Manager, it just doesn't get added to the actual collection (see attachments).
Luke 42078 Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 Can you zip up your library db and attach it here? thanks.
markdj 49 Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 I would, but it's 248MB. Sounds pretty huge, or is this normal? Also, the entry has different data (local paths instead of IP, see screenshot). It also doesn't have any indexes this way.
Luke 42078 Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 What do you mean entry has different data? different data from what?
markdj 49 Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 (edited) As you can see on the screenshot Cars 3 uses local path instead of an IP path. Also it doesn't have any external ID's, at all. To be clear: this is only with Collections in the Metadata Manager. In the regular interface (and in the Movies part of Metadata Manager) it's actually correct. Edited January 3, 2019 by markdj
markdj 49 Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 (edited) I see all missing/incomplete collections have a local path in the Metadata Manager. Is there any way to fix this and change it to the IP? Paths are set correctly in the library settings. The collection.xml files all give a local path, by the way, which makes it even stranger. This is exactly what's happening to me, too: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/66179-auto-box-sets/page-2. However, the latest beta didn't fix it. Edited January 3, 2019 by markdj

markdj 49 Posted January 3, 2019 Author Posted January 3, 2019 Maybe? I'm not sure but I have no idea what else it can be then.

The paths in my .xml's are local paths - E:\Films\.... That being said you can edit the path info to change it to IP. Use notepad++ and do a find/replace. I have done this in the past without issue and followed up the editing with a full library scan. Note - I am sure this method does not fall into a "supported" method and if done incorrectly will mess up the formatting of the xml file(s) so make a backup before attempting.
Luke 42078 Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Did you check the various Id's that the wiki article says are required? If so, what did you check exactly?
markdj 49 Posted January 4, 2019 Author Posted January 4, 2019 Fixed it. The naming apparently matters. Naming the video differently has solved the issue.
Luke 42078 Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Well no, what that did is cause the server to treat it as all new content and download metadata from scratch. So unfortunately now we can't really get to the bottom of what was going on.
