Running Emby Web App Without Emby Server

Good Day and continued Happy Thanksgiving to all. I have a question regarding the use of the Emby Web App. First, this is related to my home network (LAN) which already has a Windows 2013 server running it. I would like to be able to watch my movie content without using the additional Emby server if that is possible. I won't be streaming/watching my movies from across the world, just in my local environment whether it be from the living room or elsewhere within the LAN.

 

So is it required to use both the Emby server and web app? Or can i just use my windows server and the web app or some other UI? I currently watch my movies using VLC or the native WMP. This works fine but I would like to use Emby because of its many abilities that other tools do not have. Thanks in advance and cheers!

You need the server to be able to watch you content with the Emby apps.
