Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Total Movies and Total Series + Episodes should be shown in those views. (example: Total Movies: 649) Need a "Home Music" media Type for audio recordings that you want to add but aren't music and don't have metadata. I have a series of lessons on Audio CD (30 CDs) that are not music and shouldn't be categorized as such. If you're playing Music in the Web Client and switch to video, the music player controls remain open until the video is closed. The music player controls should disappear when the video starts and reappear when the video is closed or finished. Entering Collections via the header on the Metadata Editor screen does not present the "New" button. You have to enter from the header menu in the Web Client. If metadata retrieval is turned on globally, the "Search Internet for Artwork and Metadata" for new Collections should be selected by default. When in an individual item (Movie, Series, Album, etc...) there should be an "Add to Collection" button. Clicking it shows a selection list of the collections on the server. Clicking on the poster in the Add/Remove to/from Collection screen should select that item. You cannot add multiple items of the same TMDB ID to a collection. Example: Blade Runner, Blade Runner: Director's Cut and Blade Runner: Final Cut. Media Folders do not collapse collections. Users should have a preference to collapse collections or not. This should be carried over into clients. 1
Luke 42078 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 1- I don't agree with. You should see the number of items you're looking at 2 - Yea we need a solution 3 - Sounds like an easy bug 4 - Can't reproduce 5 - By design. User could create Bob's collection, then be unhappy when tmdb matches it to Iron Man collection. 6-8 - Yup 9 - Solution coming 10 - Yup 1
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 #1 you should be able to see both. 1
WWWestern 94 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 For #1 better place is Reports designed especially for stats.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 Reports won't be accessible by most users. Would it be possible to show the total counts for each view on this screen? Example: Movies (699) under the movie collage?
Luke 42078 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 #8 I'll need more info on because i just tested it with lord of the rings, extended and theatrical and had no issues.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 #8 appears to be working now. Not sure why it didn't work before. 1

Example: Movies (699) under the movie collage? Yeah, that seems reasonable since we've already obtained those counts anyway in order to decide whether or not to show that particular section.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted April 20, 2014 Author Posted April 20, 2014 Should be noted that if you sort your movies by anything other than name, it shows the full count of all moves. Sort by name and it says I have 530 movies. Sort by date added and I suddenly have 672.
ebr 16179 Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Should be noted that if you sort your movies by anything other than name, it shows the full count of all moves. Sort by name and it says I have 530 movies. Sort by date added and I suddenly have 672. That is because the contents of the list are different. If you sort by anything other than name, it does not collapse the movies into collections. Again, you need to stop thinking about that number as a total number of "Movies". It isn't that. It is the number of Items that are in the data set you are viewing.
Koleckai Silvestri 1154 Posted April 20, 2014 Author Posted April 20, 2014 (edited) That is because the contents of the list are different. It is the number of Items that are in the data set you are viewing. Actually, it is a bad user experience and presents an inconsistent UI. The number of Items should not change due to sorting under any circumstance. Only filtering should change the number of items shown from the base query. Edited April 20, 2014 by Wayne Luke
