mcfloyd 1 Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 Got everything installed on my remote server and working properly. Until it all crashed and burned. Then I took a closer look. emby in /var/lib/emby has a total size of 16GB! what? I moved it to a different mount. But even if my library is huge for metadata (which it isn't) and assuming 2-3 users are currently encoding at the same time, why would the app take up so much space?
Luke 42078 Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 Hi there, have you looked underneath there to see what folders are using the most space? thanks.
mcfloyd 1 Posted November 22, 2018 Author Posted November 22, 2018 I booted it back up under my mount and it seems to have cleaned up its mess. It's now only taking up 400MB for posters and images and whatnot. There are a good amount of ffmpeg-remux logs with the latest ending in "disk out of space". I think it would be a nice feature/fix to allow an install destination. I would have never known how to move it if I wasn't good with linux. Thanks, -mcfloyd
Luke 42078 Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 Thanks. If it happens again please take a look at what folders are using the space. Thanks.
