May be I miss something but what do you mean by emby chromecast app ? you mean the android app ? 

will it directplay audio bitstream without transcoding ?

Hi, yes. And it supports all of the audio formats that Chromecast supports. It can bitstream ac3 without transcoding.

The server will convert the audio. Chromecast does not support truehd.
