How do you get 3.03?

Check my post from  07 December 2018 - 02:15 PM

Includes a link to download from the official emby github.

Basically download from github, unzip into a new folder, called what you like, and carry on from my instructions in previous post.

Interesting, thanks for the info.

When I first launched it the black window appeared for about 5 seconds and then the “Sign in” screen appeared. After signing in it loads and runs with no delays.

Hmm, thanks, although it could also just be coincidence, and that the second launch was the difference.

Forgot about the HDMI driver install. It prompted me for the install and I selected “yes”.

I also uninstalled ET 3.0.5 from my Windows 7 PC prior to running any manually downloaded versions. Ran the Dropbox version as a portable.

Hi, Works okay for me, slow on first start, get 10 seconds of black screen and then works okay.

Next launch is normal startup time.

Thanks

This is happening for me with any version it seems. I tried extracting various versions to a folder and running it direct without installing as well as installing the latest version. I get nothing but a black screen. I've installed all Windows updates and updated the Nvidia driver to the latest. I've also rebooted. It was working fine with an older version but when I updated to 3.0.6 now all I get is a black box with any version it seems. I made sure aero is running. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. I tried to enable dev tools as shown in a previous post in this thread and it doesn't appear to be doing anything when I start the app. When I close the console below it is just a black screen and I have to close form the task bar.

This is windows 7. Have you made sure that Windows 7 Aero is both enabled and running, and hasn't crashed? The app depends on this for transparency features. Thanks.

Aero was enabled and running. I restarted the Desktop Window Manager service and now it seems be working. I'm not sure what happened or why a reboot didn't do the same thing as restarting the service.
