Can I use this without a PC?

Could I put files on the server  and then just watch them without a pc being on? I use plex atm but I dont like my computer having to be on whenever I want to watch something. Is this a thing? I see people talking about dnla httpc this that and the other but I have not a clue what any of it means

Hi.  You may not need a PC specifically but you do need to have the server running on some platform that is supported.
