Remote Emby server with local Kodi

I have an Emby server running remotely connecting with my local Kodi server with the Emby for Kodi addon.  Half my media files are on the remote server, half local. I want to make sure I am integrating the libraries the best way.

 

I set up Emby for Kodi and can see my remote media in Kodi (TV, Music, Movies).  For local media I just added the local media folders into Kodi like I always have.  I now have an integrated list of media from both sources within Kodi.  My question is this the right way to do this or should I be adding my local media into Emby via the remote Emby server settings/configuration?  What is the right way to integrate the two in this instance.  Not sure I did it the best way, but it is working.

Local content is just not tracked by Emby by doing this. But there should be no issues. I can't think of an alternative to what you are doing
