Backup metadata on Synology

Hi

 

Like a lot of users (I guess), I'm spending lot of time on metadata edition.

I'm using emby on a ds418+ and I would like to backup the metada on a way or another.

 

Is it possible to do it manually ? or by using HyperBackup ? 

Wich components or folders should I backup for that ?

Hi, have you enabled saving of nfo files? that is the easiest way.

Actually, I've choosen this option :

 

But I can't find the NFO file.

I assume there are in hidden system folders.

They will be next to your video files. If they are not there, then the server must not have write permissions to your folders.

Indeed ! The permission were incorrect.

I've fixed it. Thanks a lot

 

But now, if I want to force the NFO file to be written, what can I do ? Because I fear if I force an metadata analyse of my librairies, Emby will erase the specific medatas I set (like news pictures or news information/attributes).

You'd have to refresh metadata on those titles.
