rterblanche 6 Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 I am running on a raspberry pi and sometimes find that new content hasn't updated. My raspberry pi is on 24/7, so just interested when the event/schedule is fired to update the library ? I normally do an update but that takes a bit long because it updates all content and sometimes find just rebooting the raspberry and letting it trigger an incremental library update is quicker. Can I trigger a incremental update without rebooting?
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 (edited) You'd need to capture in your logs when you don't get new content. Updates to your library should be near instant, unless it's an actual library scan which may take longer. To test, open your webclient, edit one title's metadata, save. And check if it updates in Kodi. You can restart the emby server via addon settings > advanced > restart service. Edited November 12, 2018 by Angelblue05
rterblanche 6 Posted November 12, 2018 Author Posted November 12, 2018 Thanks. Will see if I can get logs captured tonight when I am home. If there a way to manually trigger the update instead of rebooting ? Maybe something like selecting "Update Library" on the side menu in the Kodi skin ?
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 No, using update library will mess things up, do not use it. In the addon, it would just restart the addon service, not Kodi.
rterblanche 6 Posted November 12, 2018 Author Posted November 12, 2018 Might be nice to have a to do an incremental update on the addon page ?
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 I agree with you, it is on my todo list.
