Error setting password for local users

On a clean new installation of version 3.5.3.0 on Debian 9, I am getting the error "Invalid username or password. Please try again." when trying to set a password for any local user

(including me as 'administrator').

 

(Note that this is for local users - I'm not using Emby Connect.)

I am getting the same error trying to set password by editing profile.

I haven't had this problem on 3.5.3.0 before.

Can anybody help?

Hi there, what browser and version are you using?

I was using Firefox Developer Edition 64.0b8.

Since you asked that, I tried it in Chromium 69.0.3497.92 (Developer Build) and it works fine! I never thought to try a different browser.

Thanks for the feedback. I think it is something related to the firefox password manager that we need to look into.
