QNAP TS-X31 no QMONO available - no support Emby higher than 3.3

Hi Everyone,

 

since the release of Emby 3.3.0.0 there is no way to get a higher version installed on my QNAP TS-X31 NAS.

The main reason is the latest available qmono version 4.8.1.0

 

At QNAP Forum they answered that they are almost in the bulding phase of an newer version of qmono for my NAS modell.

 

Is there a possibiliy to support the older qmono with the newest version of emby?

Or is there a way around qmono to install and run the newest emby version?

the installation failed because i have first to install QMONO 5.12

The QMONO 5.12 is not available for my QNAP TS-X31 yet.

That is the main problem.

Sorry, my mistake. That was the wrong package. Can you please try this one:

the last version is installed. But I couldnt open it. I have that feeling the server will not start.

What exactly happens when you try to open it?

The Service starts and i could click open, but than the webbrowser show the message:

 

I got the error that the webpage XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8096 is not available

Look for this folder:

 

/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/programdata/logs

The Problem is that the 3.3.0.0 is already on my nas. I stopped that and than I start the second one 3.6.0.63 but it wont open.

I think there is the issue

No i have no access to this. Couldnt set the access rights for that

The only way is to get the logs if the server Starts

Hi Luke, 

can you please discribe the installation process?

 

I tried to shutdown the existing server 3.3.0 than I upload and install the version from U.

My NAS will parallel save this version and the 3.3.0 is still on the nas.

When I will start the version from u, the error is the same I wrote before.

here is what is happening. You're using a community build from QNAP community that is no longer going to be updated. The new builds I'm linking you to will be our new official package going forward. We don't have your exact model for testing so that is the reason for these initial install hiccups. If we can get through them it will be fine going forward and we'll be submitting this to QNAP for entry into App Central.

My Emby App isnt more compatible to the server version now.

So I couldnt use emby as a premium member in full performance at the momen.

thx for that version. It will be installed fine and runs.

But I have to configure this newer version from beginning new.

 

Is there a possible way to get my old configuration from the server 3.3.0.0 into it?

I like to have the libary settings and alle the content their.

I used the Backup Version with the older server. Is there a possibility to load the config into this newer version?

Just a heads up, our x31 package that we have on our website no longer requires QMono !
