keith2045 7 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 I'm having an issue when i playing movies on my fire tv device. When i start a video i've noticed hundreds of *.ts files being created in the transcoding directory (/var/lib/emby/transcoding-tmp). I get so many that it fills up my disk, after a certain point in the video i'm no longer able to play the video. Before i started a video i've cleaned that directory then started playback and under 10 minutes it fills up my disk (about 12gbs of ts files or so). On the server web interface i've noticed lots of transcode logs. Oh and on the web interface it shows it being direct streaming and not transcoding. I can delete all of the ts files and it plays without an issue Thoughts? I'm trying to upload the logs, but getting "Error This upload failed"
Luke 42078 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Hi, how much free space do you have, and how big is the original video?
keith2045 7 Posted November 6, 2018 Author Posted November 6, 2018 I have about 23gb of free space and the original video is 31.5 gb
Luke 42078 Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 @@keith2045, currently, if a video requires conversion, you will need at least as much free space as the size of the original video. We will improving and loosening up this requirement for a future update. Thanks ! @@softworkz
